Behind the lens

I make work about the minute before the light arrives.

Moray Jewel is a single-artist visual archive from the Scottish coast: photography, cinematic footage, sound, screensavers and wall pieces made slowly around weather, tide and memory.

The work is built to feel atmospheric and quiet rather than disposable: a studio practice for coastal images, films, printed editions and the notes behind them.

The Sunday letter

One email, one Sunday a month.

A short letter from Moray Jewel - what I have been shooting, filming, scoring or printing, plus the occasional early-access release.
